Dean and Dawne Polis Dean and Dawne met in the darkroom in college and have been photographing together ever since. In addition to running their wedding photography business for 25+ years, they were Art and Photography teachers at Vermont ’s leading high school, Burr and Burton Academy for 18+ years . They retired in June ’08 to a somewhat quieter life on their Shushan, New York farm. With Crickett now at the helm of Polis Photography, Dean has time to compose and conduct the score of the Countryside with his camera lens, while Dawne , through the magic of Digital Imaging, gives these painterly images a soul. Their favorite places to travel are France and Italy , and they would love to lead you on a Photo Tour of some of the secret places they’ve found! Dean and Dawne will have their second solo exhibition at Southern Vermont Arts Center in November , 2009, featuring photographs from their many trips to Paris . Crickett Polis A Second generation photographer, Crickett is the co-owner of Polis Photography. She has studied fine arts at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY as well as taken courses from the New England Institutue for Professional Photography. She has spent four years photographing events for the Southern Vermont Arts Center where she will have her first solo exhibition in June 2011.  She and Dean are affiliated with the Vermont Professional Photographer's Association, Professional Photographer's of New England and recently Professional Photographer's Association of America.
